If
museums in Amsterdam weren't so expensive,
it wouldn't be bad to make the cafe in the
Stedelijk one of your peripatetic homes. It's
large and spacious and light and relaxed and
looks out onto a sculpture garden.
The food isn't bad and the coffee is cheap
and there's always an exhibit of interest
just a few feet from your table. It might
be worth the price of a museum card just to
pop in and out at will - it's a good place
to come to get out of the rain. Besides which
the toilets are clean.
